The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 movie hits early screenings in certain theaters this week. The worldwide premiere of the movie took place November 10 in London, kick starting the cast’s global tour including stops at Beijing, Seoul, New York and Los Angeles. The Los Angeles premiere took place Monday, November 17, 2014, the same day the movie’s soundtrack was released.

I’ve been looking forward to the release of The Hunger Games: Mockingajy Part 1 movie for (what feels like) ages. Mockingjay , written by Suzanne Collins, is my favorite book of the three-book series. It’s exciting and nerve wrecking having something that has only existed in your mind for so long be put on the big screen for everyone to see. It makes me happy knowing that many people are looking forward to this movie. Many people I know had many positive comments about the second movie, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and tell me they are excited about this second to last one.

It’s scary to have your favorite book be made into a movie, but Gary Ross did a great job with the first movie installment and Francis Lawrence has a great understanding of these books, and did an amazing job with Catching Fire so I trust him with whatever he has done with Mockingjay Part 1 and what he will do with Part 2.

Since the movies are split, I’m pretty scared to see where the split will be. Many had great speculations about it, and many that had seen the movie had given spoilers as to where it is cut, but I have done my best to avoid them and be able to find out myself to get the full effect. However, there is an interview where Jennifer Lawrence (who plays Katniss Everdeen) says the ending will have us all very mad. I can’t wait to find out what it is!

The movie officially hits theaters everywhere in the United States on November 21. Make sure to check it out! This movie’s got a lot more action than the other two. Although there is lack of the games, Mockingjay is the book where the war takes place, I really recommend everyone to go watch it!
