The Crucible was worth watching; the surroundings were poor

Monday, September 7, 2013, the junior class was lucky enough to go see the play titled “The Crucible” by Arthur Miller at TAMIU.

Although (in my opinion) the play was great, there were some things students were not very satisfied with. There was no intermission and that made students a tiny bit uneasy. Students were all very hungry and anxious for the play to finish just so we can be able to get lunch. It was very dark and the only lighting there was coming from the stage, and since there was very little lighting coming from the stage, many people were falling asleep especially since it was in the morning … oops. I guess those are things we all couldn’t really do anything about. After all we were watching a play; we had to suck it up.

All in all the actors did a great job portraying the characters in the play and helped them come to life. I mean it was pretty lengthy, but very much worth my time. The play was almost like how I had imagined it in my head when we read the book in class. I’m really glad I was one of the fortunate ones to be able to go and see the play. 🙂
