When going out not only does your clothes have to match and look wonderful, but also your make up. Don’t think that because your face may be flawless that you don’t need any, so that because you think its imperfect you add too much. There is always a necessity for makeup, yet there’s a limit. So next time consider in taking this advice before heading out of the house.

Foundation

The most common mistake is made when choosing a foundation. A shade can be easily mistake by either a tone to light, a tone to dark, or a tone to orange to what your natural skin tone is. It seems nearly impossible to find the exact tone that matches your skin, yet it’s not really hard as long as you know what to do.

  • Look at your veins. If your veins are green you are a warm, blue means you are cool and a mixture of both makes you more of a neutral. Most brands divide the tones by this. So keep an eye for sections that describe the warm or cool tones.
  • A not so economical way is to buy a tone lighter, a tone darker, and a tone that you might think is best for your color.
  • And why not? You can even Google it. Search the Internet to get examples of shades. Remember don’t trust it a 100 percent but just get an idea of what it may be for next time you go to the drug store.

Eyebrows

Your eyebrows add shape and extra character to your face and can be the difference between being “hot” or just “another girl.” Keeping them perfect is takes a lot of work, but don’t ignore them. Here are some tips that can help you get that perfect look.

  • Eyebrows should be the same color as your natural hair, maybe just one or two tones lighter but no less. It will be best having the end a bit darker than the start of the brow to give it more depth. Choosing a light tone of pencil or powder will be best.
  • The eyebrows should always be thicker at the start and thinner at the end.
  • When you’re filling in your eyebrows with a pencil, do short upward strokes while drawing mini mock hair lines. This will make them look thicker but not too dark or unnatural.
  • Now if you think that in your first try you’ll mess up, our best suggestion will be to go into a professional salon. They will help you, and based on your description they’ll wax or tweeze them. After this you’ll have an idea of how it’s supposed to be and just pluck out the extra growing hairs.

Putting makeup in an incorrect lighting

It is always best to apply makeup in lighting which you’ll be wearing it.

  • When exposed to a lot of lighting its preferable to keep it natural and use very little makeup.
  • For late night parties use bold and exotic colors that will pop out when the lights are off.
  • When going to a restaurant it will usually have dimly lighting so keeping it to a natural yet bold contrasting color will be fine.
  • When being under incandescent bulbs lighter and bolder tones will be best;  however don’t make it tacky, keep the natural colors.
  • Fluorescent lights are a bit like the incandescent yet it makes the colors look sharp. So it’s better to keep the sheer and natural hues.

Don’t emphases too many features.

Only choose one, whether it is your lips, eyes or cheeks, if you decide to try all of the features, then all you’re going to look like a clown.

  • When going to the eyes, keep that that long lashes are beautiful and are the main thing to get your eyes big.  Just a couple of swipes of the mascara brush will be good. Eyeliner should be dark on top and a bit of lighter on the bottom, giving it an intense eye-opening effect. The best way to make your eyes “stand out” is to use light colored eye shadow. You can also use liquid eyeliner making a thin line along the top eyelid and smudge with fingertips. The line will accentuate your eyes and give them some definition.
  • Now in case you want to go for lips, chose a color that complements the natural shade of your lip and skin tone.  Plums, wines, and deep reds flatter a dark skin tone, while light brown, beiges with pink, or orange undertones complement a lighter skin tone.  Light and matte shades of flattering colors should be worn to the office. A darker version of a shade you like should be worn for dates or nights out. Lip glosses and lip stains are a great option for daytime.
  • A trick to bring the attention to your cheek is to find a blush color that matches your cheeks when they’re blushed after exercise or being out in the cold. Another trick is to match your lip color. Fair skin looks great in rose, olive in peach & dark skin in apricot or even red.

Unnecessary lip liner

Don’t exaggerate on the application on lip liner. It prevents the lipstick from bleeding and also helps to keep the lipstick on the lips for a longer time.

  • The main advantage of lip liner is that it gives the lips a concrete shape, which makes them stand out and look full. However it isn’t a must have. Experimenting may be a good idea before heading out.
  • To start with, make a dot in center of your upper as well as lower lip. In the same way, make a few more dots on the entire lips. Start joining the dots one by one, with a firm hand. Continue till the edge of the lips. If you notice any space, fill it with light strokes. You can apply lipstick now. See to it that the lip liner and lipstick look smooth.

Not washing everything off

After a long day at work or dancing, the last thing on your mind would probably be taking off your make up. That maybe in the morning it will be better. However don’t keep making that mistake.

  • A pure wipe with a wet towel isn’t enough, pores can be clogged and acne may appear.
  • Using water and water soluble cleanser gently wash the eye makeup off. Be gentle in this area, and if the mascara is waterproof try adding a bit of makeup remover.
  • Use warm water, so you won’t irritate your face.
  • Rinse your face complete and make sure to not leave residue behind.
  • Pat carefully your face with a clean towel and apply moisturizer on your face to keep it nice and soft.

This is just some advice we have leaned and followed on our daily routine. Hopefully it will help do some changes in your make up adding more perfect to it. As you grow up you’ll notice that they may also be some changes in your color tone and in what you may want to put on your face, however, that’s totally normal, but just don’t forget to follow these tips.
