Are video games that violent?

Christopher Cantu, Columnist

For some time now, there have been many confrontations concerning the violence in the different varieties in video games that are being sold on the market today.

The violence in many of these video games concerns mainly the parents. Some parents say they are worried that the violence in some of these games will influence their children and convince them that that sort of behavior is acceptable.

There have even been cases where parents believe that the violence has gotten so bad that they believe video games should be banned from stores and not be sold at all.

In my opinion, some parents shouldn’t really say they have worries or that they want to band games of the market mainly because some parents don’t simply check the age limit their child needs to be in order to play the game. Not all parents are like this but I’ve seen parents in stores who don’t do this and just purchase the game just to get there child to stop asking repeatedly.
